HOPE (Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement) Ministry is an outreach program designed to provide our unhoused neighbors a break in their day and week while offering them a safe and encouraging environment. Guests are invited to enjoy a home-cooked meal, fellowship, and a hot shower from 9 am – 12 pm on Saturdays.

There are ample opportunities to volunteer to serve our neighbors including donating food and snacks, preparing and cooking food, serving food, greeting and socializing, cleaning showers, sorting and organizing clothing, washing clothing and towels, and setting and cleaning up.

If you are unable to volunteer and still want to help, you may make a donation to HOPE Ministry. Donations can be made online or by mail. Checks should be made payable to “Garner UMC” and “HOPE Ministry” should be written on the Memo Line.
